I do not have a Facebook...well I do but it is inactivated. From a professional stand point I should search and friend request all the companies and businesses that I am interested . It will probably also be a good idea to follow the job recruiters of those specific companies as well. As for my personal profile only post pictures that display positive characteristics of you that you would want potential employers to see.
Another suggestion for those who want to have fun and be more social is to just have two separate accounts one for fun one for business. My actual account is a combination of both of my suggestions. Sine I travel a lot, the pictures that are uploaded to my account are only of the domestic and international places I have been.Containing a album titled of the country or destination All of the pictures that I am tagged in are those usually of community service, club/organization, or academic related. I do not think Facebook is really a place to be professional but I still believe you should be conservative and cautious of what you post. There are other useful and professional networks that serve as career generated such as LinkedIn and my Orgsync account, provided by the school.
